We are thrilled to announce that NPHarvest is moving on from being a research project at Aalto University to becoming a full-fledged company!
This moment marks both an end and a beginning: we are wrapping up the academic project phase with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude, and we’re embarking on an exciting new journey as a startup dedicated to recycling nutrients from wastewater.
Over the years, NPHarvest has developed innovative technologies to recover valuable nutrients, like nitrogen and phosphorus, from wastewater streams. These nutrients can be reused as fertilizers, promoting a circular economy while helping reduce environmental pollution.
The transition to a company allows us to take our mission forward with even greater impact. We’re expanding our operations, engaging with new partners and clients, and preparing to launch our first commercial products.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during the research phase: our colleagues, mentors, funders, and collaborators. Without your contributions, this next step would not be possible.
To celebrate, we hosted a farewell party on March 17th, where the team, supporters, and friends came together to toast the beginning of a new chapter.
Stay tuned for updates as we begin this exciting journey!
